Meet Robert J Maiorino, DDS
Oral Surgeon in Huntington
In 1992, Dr. Robert J. Maiorino received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He subsequently completed a four year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the NYU – Bellevue Hospital Center.
Excellence defines Dr. Maiorino’s scholastic achievements. He was inducted into and holds active membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), a national honorary dental society that recognizes dentists for clinical proficiency, exemplary character and outstanding conduct.
Further testament to Dr. Maiorino’s academic and clinical excellence is being a Dean’s List graduate and his admission into NYU’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Honors Program. He was also the recipient of the Dr. Samuel Hess Memorial Award and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award.
Dedicated to keeping informed of the latest surgical innovations, techniques and technology, Dr. Maiorino holds active membership with many professional associations. Among them are the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), American Dental Association (ADA), New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (NYSSOMS) and Suffolk County Dental Society (SCDS).
He taught for many years as an Associate Clinical professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at NYU. He holds American Heart Association (AHA) Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificates, as well as New York State Anesthesia Certificate.
Dr. Maiorino lives in Huntington with his wife and their three children. In his free time, he enjoys boating, golfing and playing hockey.
